Career Week

Career Week is off to an exciting and engaging start for our students. This week, our kindergarten through second grade scholars had the opportunity to welcome members of the Detroit Police Department into our building. Students learned about the important role police officers play in our community, explored their equipment, and even experienced how sirens work. The visit created a space for students to ask questions, build understanding, and develop positive connections with community helpers. As Career Week continues, students will also be introduced to a variety of other career fields, including nursing, entrepreneurship, firefighting, and more. These experiences are designed to broaden students’ awareness of future possibilities and inspire them to begin thinking about their own goals and interests. We are excited to continue exposing our scholars to careers that show them the many paths available for their future.
